Y’all…revolutionary product
I finally tried Viviva a few days ago. Aaaaaand now I come to this site because I absolutely must have every color available. I was skeptical, I admit. How? Surely not. But guys—worth the hype. I’ve tried Albrecht durer watercolor pencil, inktense, Sakura koi tube and pans, Caran d’ache watercolor pencil, kuretake gansai. And the deal is…each has advantages and oddities that make me keep them in my mixed media toolkit (I have an addiction to art as therapy). The viviva now also has pride of place because what they do is so very different that I can justify yet another art supply. The thing is, these are dye based apparently. And I’ve noticed that when I use them they seem to actually ********* the paper very quickly, easily, and thoroughly. They can be lifted a bit though, which gives you options. But the best, most magical part is that once you figure out how to manipulate them, you can achieve a super smooth gradient from super dark to rather pale. I’ve been working on my contrast (I fell in love with smooth blends in my prismacolor days when I was just starting to see if I was even capable of doing artsy things, but went too far and now am working on that balance for better realism). I particularly love these for rendering first layer of color on gemstones because the ease of going from supersaturated to barely there allows for easier rendering of smooth faceted glass or stones, which requires high contrast. Using these as a base coat makes the later colored pencil layers almost effortless. Also…watching this swatch of color turn into something utterly different with a little water is pure joy. Try the Persian blue. It’s mind boggling. You can easily mix the colors on the provided palette. And as promised by ads, it’s VERY compact and lightweight. You can indeed fit a booklet practically anywhere and when you add a water brush and small pad or book, the portability is unmatched. Also, less plastic waste! They’re also very affordable for what I consider artist-quality supplies. Which is good. Because I’ll be using them up with a vengeance. I love these. I hope to see more colors released in future.
Viviva Colors
Thanks Sarasvati for such a cool review! I genuinely want to thank you for taking out the time to write it. Would love to see some pictures of your work especially on gemstones whenever you can. Wish you a very creative 2024!

My favorite gift to give!
I have been enthusiastic about colorsheets since I saw the IndieGoGo campaign, which I backed. I love them for their portability and beautiful colors. I love their business model supporting their workers. I buy them as gifts all the time.
Fabulous colors! Cutting edge company!
I received a sample of these enclosed with another product. The watercolors were so luscious I ordered every set they make. The colors are beautiful, very dense if needed, but nicely transparent with more added water. I especially love the structure of the company, sustainably sound from product to way of doing business. I can't recommend these more highly!
Love love love this paint
I shared it with my best friend and she loves it too. Best pigmented color, portable with water brushes and watercolor journal. Will always keep it on hand!
