Square and smooth

I ordered a square notebook for inktober but I received 2 ! I used the squared one for inktober. Very smooth to use with ink. Not the paper for watercolor. I like having a special think for inktober. It was the second year I ordered fro Viviva. I recommend it.

Great Watercolor paper!

I loved the texture of the paper! It holds up to the high quality that was described!

Sketch book is awesome

I got the Inktober cotton sketchbook just for the Inktober event, and I am very pleased with it. Ink flows on it smoothly, but if you are using washes or a lot of fluid it does buckle. I do wish there was a way to make the pages lay flat, but I just used a binder clip & that worked. I will buy this again.

Really wanted to love this sketchbook but haven’t had the best of luck. The first one I received was shipped in a bag and bent in shipment. They had a great response and I appreciate them sending me a new one—no complaints there. Now onto the second one. The paper has a waxy feel and watercolor not being main medium I figured it was just me, so I let it pass and have been enjoying myself anyway. But now I’m almost at the end of the month and my “40 page” sketchbook is too short for the 31 days of Inktober—I counted and it’s actually only 25 pages long. I never thought I would have needed to count the pages and now I’m going to have to put the rest in a separate book which is a bummer because I kept two years worth of Inktobers in last year’s book and enjoyed displaying it.

Great for ink, but…

This book is great for inking with pens but try to use watercolor on it, and something weird happens. It’s like there is a layer of wax or something in it so when watercolor is applied, the paper repels it.
