Finally got my hands on a new set of the color sheets (mail order over here). I’ve tried metallic watercolor. And usually I put it on top of other colors because let’s be honest here—in traditional formats it’s a bit too sheer. Even the soho urban artist metallics require a bit of finagling to get them to have much color, and they’re better than most. But these viviva? Do have the glimmer but they also have enough pigment to easily use all by themselves and still get a good solid swath of color. Just glimmery color. Beautiful glimmery color. Not glittery enough to be tacky, subtle enough of a shine to be able to use for more soft effects, and thoroughly pigmented. Probably the absolute best shimmery watercolor I’ve tried yet, hands down. Highly recommend.
